Centenary Season Dinner
As part of the celebrations to recognize 100 years of schools? football in our County, we will be holding a Centenary Dinner on Thursday October 13th, 2011 at the Civic Centre, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. DONT MISS OUT - Premier League Football Kit Scheme!

Premier League players are to fund a football kit and equipment scheme for young people.
The squads of all 20 Barclays Premier League clubs are to create a new £500,000 fund that will provide U16 clubs, schools and youth organisations in England and Wales with free football kit and equipment, with areas in need of most assistance particularly benefitting.

Already passed Level 1? Want to progress in Coaching? Enrol on the Youth Award - Module 1
The FA Youth Award is designed for coaches working in youth football. Holders of the Level 1 Award are now encouraged to progress along the appropriate route to the age group they are coaching and the Youth Award Modules specifically cater for these groups.
Module 1 looks specifically at "Developing The Environment" for 5-11 year old players to learn and develop. The focus is on developing the child and how best to create and maintain the right environment for development. It is a non- assessed course.
On completion of Module 1, candidates can then progress to Module 2: Developing The Practice, which will run in June 2012.

FA Level 1 Award in Coaching Football

Our Coach Education continues to be popular, so if you're thinking of enrolling on a Level 1 course, don't delay! The final courses of 2011 are as follows:-






A four week course starting on Monday 3rd October at the Hirst Welfare Centre, Ashington. This course runs on a Monday evening and Saturday morning.






Complete the Level 1 course in just 5 days at Complete Football! the course runs 9am-5pm from Monday 24th to Friday 28th October.






Four week course running at the NFA HQ on an evening and Saturday morning. The last course of the year!








NFA HQ - Wednesday 28th September
3 hour workshop taking place from 6-9pm at the NFA HQ.






NFA HQ - Thursday 27th October
3 hour workshop taking place from 6-9pm at the NFA HQ.






NFA HQ - Tuesday 20th September
3 hour workshop taking place from 6-9pm at the NFA HQ.






3rd, 10th & 17th October @ NFA HQ
Brand new 9 hour medical course designed for anyone responsible for the treatment of sporting injuries. Includes an Emergency First Aid refresher.












Next Event
The next "Coach The Coach" clinic will take place on Friday 30th September at Complete Football, Newcastle Racecourse.
The night will run from 6.00pm - 8.30pm with guest presenters Neil Winskill and Ben Dawson.
The theme for the night will be The "What" and "How" of Youth Coaching.
We are delighted to announce that this clinic has been approved by the FA as a CPD event. Current Level 1 and Level 2 coaches will have 2 hours recorded on their file, assuming they have signed up to the new FA Licensed Coaches Club.

THE OFFICIAL FA PLAYER PASS!

From September 6th, every player aged 16 or over playing in affiliated football will be encouraged to sign up for The Official FA Player Pass. This scheme will enable us in partnership with The FA to work directly with footballers throughout the country for the first time, in order to:
1. Keep players in the game.
2. Recruit new coaches, referees and volunteers.
3. Communicate directly with players.
4. Get our support on target
5. Help Football access funding
6. Benefits for players

to find out more. Here they will be able to register for the new scheme and check if they meet the criteria to join.
