Attention Club Welfare Officers: The FA have launched an online FA CRB service from 1st July 2011 that your club members will be able to use in the future. The online system will be quicker, easier, cheaper, more efficient and will make the verifying stage more straightforward.

The online FA CRB will cost £10 which is saving of £5.30 from the current paper form which costs £15.30. Payment for the online system is through PayPal or credit card.

If you are interested in using this service for your club - the Club Welfare Officer must register the club to utilize the service by emailing The Media Group on FAChecks@TheFA.com with your club name (it would help to provide your affiliation number or club ID). FA Respect Barrier Scheme - Dont miss out, get funding now!
One of the biggest successes of the Respect programme over the last three seasons has been to improve the environment of youth football. The FA have sought to educate parents and coaches as to the right way to support their children but the introduction of designated spectator areas has also proved useful in creating the space to allow the players to play and the coaches to coach.

The FA?s scheme will make available £100,000 for a 50 % funding scheme and is available to clubs that operate in any of the FA?s 850 Respect Leagues. Charter Standard clubs will be able to purchase additional numbers of barriers at the 50 % rate.

The FA will work with Touchline Logos to offer a product that it is a significant improvement on the ?first generation? barriers and has withstood the demands of grassroots football since its adoption by the FA over a year ago. The range of Touchline Logos barriers can be viewed and ordered at www.Touchlinelogos.com

Important Update - Welfare procedure

It is the responsibility of all coaches/managers and officials within clubs, who in particular hold a current CRB, to notify the following people as soon as possible should an individual within your club be arrested or be under investigation for any offence.

1. Club Welfare Officer
2. County Welfare Officer

Failure to do so may leave the individual and club liable to disciplinary action. The effect of reporting this is twofold:
1. To follow our legal and moral obligations to safeguard our children and young people in football
2. To safeguard the individual involved without prejudice I

f you need to discuss this further please contact Stuart Leason County Development Manager or Gill Shields County Welfare Officer.
News: The final Level 4 fitness test is being held at the Riverside Complex, Chester Le Street on Sunday 21st August, 9am start. This session is compulsory for promotion to Level 4, but all referees are welcome to attend to boost fitness levels! There is no charge to attend!
